Eh Way was contacted by a member of his 5 Guys Team after our story was released and was told that he was not fired. However, he had to fill out paperwork to begin working again. He reports that he was told that every year he has to fill out paperwork again.

5 Guys corporate office has still not responded to our inquiry.

A San Diego deaf man was terminated after two years of working at 5 Guys because his new managers felt his disability prevented him from fulfilling his job.

Eh Wah first started working at 5 Guys at Genesee Plaza his junior year of high school and would often speak highly of job to friends and family.

It came as a total shock to him when his new managers terminated his position just before starting college.

" I feel bad," Eh told Legend Magazine. He continued, "The new managers did not want me working there because I am deaf. Alexis was the only good manager."

Since then, people have been voicing their support for Eh on social media but as of now, he is unemployed but hopeful he will find a position soon so he can support himself through college.

I've reached out to 5 Guys for a response but as of yet they have not responded.
