My Little Playhouse Learning Center in Lubbock, Texas fires employees only after video of a black child being mistreated goes viral

The incident occurred some two weeks ago, but it wasn't until after the video went viral on social media that the owners of My Little Playhouse Learning Center in Lubbock, Texas did something about it.

The mother of the child seen in the video issued a statement today for ABC 13 saying in part that the center issued no apology to her when the incident first occurred two weeks prior.

In the video, you can hear one employee laughing and filming the incident while the other employee, identified as Kay Rangel, proceeds to pull the black child's braids numerous times.

My Little Playhouse Learning Center finally issued an apology and the center is now under investigation by police.

The mother of the child is thinking of pursuing legal action.
